Birthday Wishes for Kelsie

Kelsie has turned another year older, I cant believe it has been 8 years since I had my first little girl. It was a scary but best day of my life. As we watched everything that was going on in New York, after I saw the second plane hit the second tower. I kept thinking what am I doing? But I dont regret it one bit. She has been a great blessing to our family. It is a big year for her. She has chosen to be baptized the same weekend as my little sister gets married. We are so excited for the both of them. Those pictures will soon come in a month.

Birthday girl got this nice blue saucer chair from Grandma and Grandpa Hind. She loves it, just like the other two love theirs. And also her dad and I gave her, her first set of scriptures with her name engraved on it. In her favorite color blue. She was so excited, I hope she will learn to love reading them.

She also recieved another pet shop house/ adoption center. She loved pet shops. We thought she had grown out of them. But that is what she asked for and loves it.

Her birthday cake that she picked out. She wanted pink and blue frosting.

On the way to the bowling alley, they were watching Ratatouile (sp?), I told them to smile, only a few did.

I love that they all cheered for eachother.

Looking at the scores, sipping their drinks.

We had a small little friends party this year. I dont like doing them every year, but it is her big year. So we did somthing fun, and not at our house. Which is the best part. We took them bowling, and to eat pizza. They had a lot of fun, and she got some neat things from her friends whom she cherrishs very much. Friends are a big part of her life right now and loves the 4 friends she invited very much.

First day of School 2009-2010

Here is to a new year, they are both excited. Kelsie is actually in a 2ns-3rd split class. We will see how that goes. She gets to learn Cursive this year. A year earlier.
Jillian she was super excited to start Kindergarten at the new school. But after the first few days, she decided that she didnt want to go to school anymore. So it has been a little hard to get her to go. But once she walks through that door, she is fine and has fun.

Twinners!!! They love to match eachother, and I love that they like it. This is actually Kelsies first day, Jillian started a week later.

They get to walk to school, which they think is pretty cool.

Jillians actuall first day of school.

Walking to school with her good friend Josh.

Lining up ready to go into school.
Good luck girls, you will do great!!!

Ward Trek

Most have you had heard that our ward did a family Trek. Which means that the whole family goes, even the little kids. It wasnt just for youth and adults. I know your thinking I am crazy. Well I thought so too. I will be honest I didnt love it, it will be an experience that I and my family will never forget. If you ask any of my family if they liked it they will say no. But I know that there were parts here and there that they liked.
The first day was the worst, hardest day ever in my whole life. It started out ok, but as the day went on we kept walking, and the wind and dust kept picking up. It was awfull, I dont know if any of you remember this storm it was the first part of August. The winds were at least 50 miles per hour. And we were out in a big open field of dust and weeds. After the first stop I was dying of allergies, and I didnt think I had allergies. There were kids that were finding out that had allergies. It was not fun. We had lots of dirt in our teeth. But after I think 9 miles of walking we found a place that we could be a little sheltered from the wind and dust. My kids were beat, and couldnt even eat their dinner. They fell asleep pretty fast. Kelsie had pulled the entire first day, she did awesome I am so proud of her. Jillian she walked the first half of that day, but then was able to ride in the kids carts which was nice. She deffinatly would have not made it. And Annie she just rode in the jogging stroller the entire time and didnt complain once. I am very greatfull for that.
The next day was a little better, we packed up and started walking again. Not so much walking but still a little walking. Found a place for lunch, which half of the lunch was stolen my "robbers" so my girls ate, and I was able to nibble on what they didnt eat. They decided to make camp there for the night. We had a nice dinner, and had other ward members come up for a fireside and cake that evening. That night was pretty fun, after we put the girls to bed, we went back down to the fire and hung out with a couple other ward members. It was fun to talk and get to know them better. But it was pretty interesting to walk back through all the tents and listen to all the people that snored. It was like a band. It was very funny, we got a good laugh out of it.
The final day we were all gettin ready to leave to head out for the day's walk, when a General on horse came to get all the men because they were to go off to war. I knew it was coming, but really didnt want it too. This was probably the most memorable, and hardest part of the trek. Kelsie was bawling, she didnt understand what was going on. She really thought they were going to war, and that she wouldnt see him for a year. It really put in in perspective, of how greatfull I am that my husband doesnt have to go off to war. But I am greatfull for those that do.
So we had the "womens pull". We amazingly did, will as many extra strollers and kids carts that we had we were able to make it.
As we came around the corner, and saw them men lined up on both sides hold their guns unpright, it was very emotional. We were told not to talk or touch the men. Which was even harder for the kids, they were excited to see their dads. It was a very emotional experience but one I will never forget, it was tough. Then we had to pull a little ways more and had to cross the "river" and get all wet. It actually wasnt that bad to get wet, it kinda felt good. Over all it was an experience I will never forget, yes I wanted to give up and go home, but I am glad we stuck it out. We would have missed the best part.

The girls with our wagon. Getting ready to go.

This is where Annie sat the entire trip, she did awesome. Our stroller is trashed now, but it was the best thing to have for her.

Brandon and Bro. Osenss pulling our wagon. The Osnesses were a part of our family.

Setting out, the trail of people.

Jillian hanging out in the kids cart, this is where we could find her the entire time.

My hot looking husband, I think he looked awesome in his hat. And look at his shirt, I made this too. I actually made two of them. This was my trial and error one, the other one is a lot better. Standing next to him is Bryce.

Brother Rojas helping Annie put her hat back on. I thought it was very sweet of him.

Kelsie, jillian and Annie playing with the kids cart in their free time.

"Kicking a rock, kicking a rock" That is what the girls sang as they pulled the handcart.

Men coming back to their families after war.

Kelsie keeping herself hydrated. We lucked out, no one got sick or dehydrated. And mainly no one in our family got any blisters. There were many of those in the ward.

Kelsie, I love this picture. Brandon wanted a picture of her in his hat. Brandon took this picture, I think it is so cute.

We made it, I know there are no pictures of me in any of these. But guess who holds the camera, and cares to take pictures? That would be me. But better off I looked rediculous.

Trek clothes, and Gardening.

One of the reasons for not getting my blog updated was trek. I had been sewing for two weeks to get all my little girls clothes ready. So here is the final product before they destroyed them on trek. But I was ok with it, that is what I made them for.

Here are a few pictures of our new garden. We just added this, this year. We added this garden bed along the back of the fence, so that hopfully we can build a shed where our old garden is. I think it turned out really good. And it fit almost everything that we would like to plant.

Bear Lake Trip

We have gone on many places this summer, but this was one of the funnest. We went to Bear Lake with some friends. It was the first time for my kids to ride on a boat, that you ski and tube with. They have been on a Ferry boat, and a Canoe, but not a "fun boat". But we had a lot of fun, we knew that it was going to be a bit rough with the girls being uneasy about it. Especially Jillian, she did not like it at all. Everytime the boat was just sitting, and letting the waves rock it, she would scream and get un easy. It wasnt untill the second day that she was getting used to the idea, but still didnt like it. Annie loved the boat. And Kelsie was awesome and even tried going in the tube, I was so proud of her. She wanted to try the kid ski's but decided maybe another time.

Jillian and Brandon waiting for the boat, she didnt want to be on the boat when it was being put in the water.

Annie looking at the big ugly fish in the lake.

Jillian giving us the "thumbs up" that she was ok, and that we could go a little faster.

Annie loved, loved , loved playing in the sand, and making castles. Boy was she full of sand though. She didnt really love getting in the water.

Kelsie running through the water, she loved it. It really was pretty warm to swim in.

Swimming lessons

We did do Swimming Lessons again this year. It was awesome, the girls loved it. We did start later in the summer just because the first set of lessons are still a little chilly for the kids to swim outside. But they took 2 sets of lessons and did awesome.

Jillian in the purple goggles.

4th of July

Yes I know it is the middle of September and I am posting a 4th of july post. This year we went to This is the Place Park with my family. We were told that they do a big event, have fireworks, dinner, and a bunch of games and activities for the kids. But they didnt, but it still was fun, my parents hadnt been up there in a very long time. And since I had just taken the kids, they were really excited to go back and see more, since we didnt get to see and do everything we wanted last time

I just think this is the cutest picture. Honestly this is the best picture of this group we have every taken. This is in back of Brigham Youngs Pink house.

I am so proud of Jillian. If you remember the last post when we went the few weeks before, Jillian would not even get close to the ponys. But she did it, she got the courgage to get on. And the girl helped her and even let her wear her hat. She was still scared, but very proud of what she overcame.

The kids are all ready for the Trek. They said it was very heavy.

Choo-Choo all aboard. Jillian, annie and I on the train. They loved it.

We were about to leave the petting area, when they girls all came out asking if we wanted to help feed the lambs. Of course, the kids loved it. It wasnt very easy, those lambs were very hungary. They knocked Annie down a few times trying to get to the bottle.

Annie and the goat.

That same weekend we celebrated my parents birthday, and mine. But I decided that I was going to make my parents a cake. So this is what I came up with.

Manti Pageant

I have always wanted to take my family to the Manti pageant, every year I am sad that I didnt realize it was going on and had passed. But this year Brandons sister Robyn had suggested all of the family going down. She was wanting to take her kids and wanted to invite all of us. So we did and we loved it.

The girls loved that the Temple was sitting on top of a "BIG" hill.

Robyns sister-n law also came, with her 3 girls. Fantasia and Kelsie get along really well. This picture is of Fantasia, Kelsie, Micaela, and Jillian waiting for the pageant to start.

Trying to get a picture of us, not perfect. :)

So we ended up staying overnight at a hotel in the next city, instead of driving all night back home. Thanks to my brother n law Lamonte, he got us the hotel rooms. It was a lot of fun. Then on the way home we decided to stop at Cove Fort. We have always passed buy joking that we should stop by, whenever we got to St George. But this time we did. It was alot of fun, the kids loved seeing all the old furniture, and things that they did out there. I found it very interesting.

This is of the Grandparents and all their Grandchildren, except for 4 that werent able to come.

Kelsie trying to play a pioneer game. She decided to try and twirl it in the air.
