We had a great Valentines day this year. We decided to keep it simple, and stayed home out of the craziness of all the people that go out to eat. We will go out just the two of us another night. But I decided to make a fun Valentines dinner for the kids. I have to say it was a lot of work, but they loved it. I love when they think I am creative, it gives me chills and makes me so happy that they loved it.
The menu was as follows:
Heart Shaped Meat Loaf (Yummy new recipe)
Real mashed potatoes and gravy
Steamed carrots with Dill
Heart Shapped Rolls
Chocolate pudding in fun goblets with whipcream and sprinkles.
Thanks to my mom she helped supply the doilies, and red table cloth. And thanks to my hubby for the Beautifull roses. And of course he last minute made my candle stick holders, (I couldnt find any in the store)It was all yummy!!!
We were going to do chocolate dipped strawberries and grapes but didnt have time. We will have to do them another day. Maybe today while we watch American Idol.
Here are some pictures of before, I forgot to take any of the kids with everything.
These pictures are from making and decorating Valentine Sugar Cookies earlier in the month.
I love this picture, I guess Annie kept putting frosting on and then licking it off and then reapplying. But she did pretty good.
This is what Jillian did, she didnt want to decorate. I think she did one.

Movie Review
So I don't usually do this, mainly because we don't normally watch a lot of movies. But since we were sick we had borrowed a few movies from my parents. We watched Batman, Dark Night. That was pretty good, but didn't let the girls watch it, and I don't think they wanted to by looking at the cover. But it was pretty good.
Then Friday night we had time to watch another movie, so we watched August Rush. Oh my goodness, I love, love, love that movie. If you haven't seen it I recommend it. If you love music and appreciate the sounds of music you will love it. I want to buy the "August Rhapsody" and other songs onto my Ipod, I think it would be a good running song. If you want to listen to a couple of the songs they are on my playlist on my blog you can go down and click on it to listen. And if you have surround sound, turn it up loud, it is awesome.
The last one that we borrowed that we havent had time to watch is, Finding Neverland. We will see how that one is.

Bunch of Sickies
We made it through a tough week. It all started out a week ago Sunday, January 25th. We came home from church, fed the kids lunch, and laid Annie down for a nap. Well Brandon came home from counting, and Annie started crying, it wasnt a normal cry, but she had only been asleep for 40 minutes. It wasnt long enough, so we just let her cry back to sleep. So Home Teacher came, and I thought she was now way over sleeping, so I went and got her out and she was covered in throwup. Oh I felt so bad, kept appologizing. I close her door all the way so I couldnt peek in to see anything. So we just thought it was somthing she ate and decided to still go to Sunday dinner at his parents. She didnt have a fever either. So she was fine, playing fine, didnt eat much for dinner but that is normal. That night we get home put her to bed, and she coughs which makes her throw up. Cleaned it up, and it happened again few hours later. Next day we are trying to keep liquids in her, but she couldnt keep anything down. Then Wednesday night my stomach starts hurting, I didnt sleep at all, and was out of it Thursday, I slept all day, thankfully Brandon went to work for a couple hours then came home. He said that night that he wasnt feeling well either, and had to stay home Friday too. While Annie this whole time has thrown up twice everyday. We kept her hydrated but she kept throwing up and sleeping alot. I had called the dr, but we decided she was ok, as long as she was hydrated and didnt have a fever. I tell ya it is very draining to clean up and wash clothes, sheets, blankets over and over. Especially when you are sick too. Well we made it through, Sunday she didnt throw up, Monday nothing. So we are thinking we are all good. YEA!!!! I really hope and pray that the other two girls dont get it. I was constantly reminding them to wash their hands, no kissing Annie, etc. I hope this nightmare is over. Hope none of you get it either.
....My dad just called me and said he thinks he has it, oops, now I feel bad we probably gave it to him......
