Vacation to Washington

Well we are back and loved the nice long vacation. We went to Sequim, Washington for 6 days. And loved it, thanks to great hosts Brandon and Amy. First of all we were flying standby, everyone was nervous for us. But we did it, we were at the airport a little long but only 5 hours really. It was our first time flying with kids, and I havent flown since our honeymoon 8 years ago. But we got comments from people at how well it went going through security. It went pretty smooth. For some reason they didnt "frisk" us going to Washington. But coming back they did. And coming home standby we got right on. They were pretty nice seeing that we had 3 young kids. (in Washington) We also got commented on how good Annie was on the airplane. The other two were great too but I think people get nervous when they see babies getting on the plane. But over all the plane experience went really well.

So our trip was amazing, we had a great time. I will give you a run down of all the fun stuff we did day by day. And then you can relate some of the pictures to the stuff.

Day #1- we flew on the airplane, and drove to a ferry boat, then drove quite a while to get to Brandons sister (amys) house. yea the kids got to try a airplane and big boat all in the same day. It was really nice of Amy to have dinner ready for us when we got there, we really didnt want to go anywhere after the long travel day. After dinner we went for a walk to a Oster house. They do a lot of walks, which is fun

Day #2- We went and picked Yummy Strawberries, and Raspberries. That was fun, you could eat while you picked too. And then take some home also. Then that afternoon we went and walked down to the Dungeoness Spit Beach and swam in the cold water. We really didnt swim but we got wet. It was pretty cool, there was an eagle flying over us. And their was a Sea Lion that was swimming pretty close, it started to swim towards Amy and Brandon that were trying to take pictures of it. Jillian did get stung by a bee though. She didnt like that at all.

Day #3- We went to a Wildlife Refuge, we got to feed all kinds of different animals. Bears, Buffalo (which slobbered all over the car window), Elk, deer, and yaks. There were also Lions and wolfes that you can feed but you can look at them. It was fun. Then they had a petting zoo at the end that you could pet goats and sheep. That late afternoon we drove down to the John Wayne Marina, that was fun walking along the docks by all the boats. We were hunting for Starfish but the tides were too high, so they were too low, we did see some stuck on the sides of poles and laying on rocks. That night we ate some yummy salmon.

Day #4-Today we went to Port Angeles, Brandon (amys husband )met us there on his lunch break. We walked along the piers and toured some replica boats. The girls called them pirate boats but they are really trading boats. It was pretty neat. There were actually people that were touring the coast of Washington living on them. Then we went to a small aquarium and touched some sea creachers. Later we went bowling. Which the girls enjoyed that.

Day #5- Today was a eventfull day, we started off with eating at a resturaunt named the Oak Table. It had some yummy breakfast. Then went to the John Wayne marina to pick up some crab from Brandon Luces uncle that just came in from fishing that morning. Then drove to the olympic mountains, to hike to some pretty waterfalls. They were called the sulduc falls. That was pretty neat and fun. Then went swimming at the Sulduc Hot Springs.

Day #6- We went to SAcrement with Amy and Brandon. Then traveled to Seattle that afternoon. We went on another Ferry boat, which had an amazing view of the city as you were coming into port.

Day #7- Today we woke up early because we only had one day to tour seattle. We went straight to the Space Needle, went up to the top which wasnt as bad as I thought it would. The girls thought it was pretty cool. Then let the girls play around on the fair rides at the bottom of the Space needle. We took the monorail to city center and ate lunch. Then walked down to Pikes Market. That was pretty neat, I wish I had more time to walk around a look some more. Then we hiked down to the Seattle Aquarium, which was pretty fun and neat. The girls enjoyed that. It was getting late and all the girls wanted to do was go back and swim at the hotel. So we hiked all the way back up drove back to the Hotel to swim.

Day #8- We woke up early to drive to the airport in Bellingham.
I hope that didnt bore you I didnt go into much detail. So that is our trip, it was a lot of fun, and a lot of relaxing. Thanks again Brandon and Amy and Bode!!!!

She is a doll

Which one is the real one. :0) No I am sure you can tell but the girls wanted me to take a picture of Annie by their dolls. They think she looks like them. Their dolls have been mistaken for a real baby from far away.

Happy 4th of July

We had a great time this 4th of July holiday. We woke up early for breakfast at my parents house. Then went over to the West Jordan parade. Let me tell you it was sooooo.. hot and long. I dont think we will do that again. But it was fun while we were there. This is Brandon with Kelsie, Jillian and Devin(cousin) watching the parades.
Annie loved the fireworks, she didnt care for the loud fans at the Real Soccer game.

This picture just cracks me up. But this is my dad, Brother Blake, and younger sister Lani. If you look closely they all have earphones in their ears. They are listening to their mp3 /ipods at the parade. My mom was too but she was in the shade.
My cute husband!!
This is Devin ( cousin) he wanted his picture taken too. Such a cutie.
Can you tell it was bright, it is a good thing they had sunblock on because they didnt care to sit in the shade. They wanted to be up close to the parade so they could get candy.
Jilli enjoying the sun.

Our house....

So I am not sure who has seen these and who hasnt. But this is the new things that we have done as far as decorating in our house. It is really fun and somewhat cheap.. But this first one is in our Bedroom on our wall.

This one is in our basement, I dont know if all of you know how big of a Uof U fan Brandon is but he has painted two wall in the basement, (which is his game room) And he has other sports stuff hanging up.
This is in the girls playroom, this was my first idea, and I love it.
This is also in their playroom on the opposite wall. The frames have their names in them with "I Am a Child of God" over the top of it. I was going to put them in their rooms but Kelsie and Jillys are too full of stuff on the walls.
This is in the girls bathroom. This saying is totally true, because the bathroom is soaked when they take baths.
And this one is our most recent it is kinda blury, but we were waiting for the picture to be finished. If you cant see it, it is the salt lake temple. This is in our front room.
