Jillian turns 5!!!

She is 5, Jillian has been wanting to be 5 for a while now. I am not sure if it is because she wants to go to Kindergarten, or if she just wants to be as old as Kelsie. She has been really funny, ever since we told her that when she turns 5, that she is going to have to get kindergarten shots. She hasnt wanted her birthday to come. But she survived. Actually the night of her birthday, she asked Brandon if it was really her birthday and if she was really 5. He said yea, she said well I didnt get shots, so does that mean I am not getting them? Poor thing she thought that she was going to have to get shots on her birthday. She actually got them two days after, and survived just fine. She is so happy to be 5, she thinks she can do anything. We are happy for her. She had 3 different days to celebrate her day. We had cake and icecream and grandma and Grandpa Elzingas, then on her actuall birthday we made homemade pizzas, and had my side of the family come over for cupcakes and icecream. And then Friday we had her first kids birthday party. She loved it, I hired someone to come and paint the kids faces like Fairys, or butterflies or whatever they wanted because it was a Tinkerbell themed party. But they loved it and were amazed at what she could do. She really was great, I have her info if you are interested, her prices were great. It was a great week of parties now it is time to rest. Sorry my pictures are out of order a little.

This is the table setting for her Kids party. I thought it was cute.

All three girls with their chairs, Jillian finally got her chair. She loves it, it is fuzzy. Now Kelsie wants a bigger one.

Playing Duck, duck goose.

Kelsies final look, she is a pink cat.

The whole group! I think I was crazy to invite that many, but actually they were very well behaved.

All the kids diving for the candy from the pinata.

Moab!!

Our first camping trip of the year, and we started out with a bang. We went to Moab with some friends of ours. We got there and set up ate lunch and headed out for hiking. It was so fun, we hiked to a couple of the main arches, The windows, Double Arch, Balanceing Rock the first day. The kids were too thrilled when we would talk about hiking to rocks, but once we got there, they really loved it. Then the next day we did the "BIG" hike, Delicate Arch. I will tell you I was a little nervous taking six kids up there, it was hot in the 80's-90's. But I tell ya they all did great. I was really proud of Jillian and Kelsie, they really didnt complain much. And Annie well she lived it up, Dad hiked with her on his back in the backpack which worked out great. When we made it up to the top, it was a little nerve wrecking but they loved it and said it was worth the hike. I love that place it is just the most amazing and beautifull thing. I am glad I got to share it with my kids. The hike down was a lot easier, they were practically running down. I tried hiking down with Annie on my back, but didnt make it too far, Brandon was amazing caring her all over. Then we told the kids we would go and play in the sand, so we ended with Sand Dune Arch, it was shaded, and fun for the kids to play in the nice cool sand. They were filled with sand everywhere but they loved it. Then we ended with a nice dip in the pool. All in all it was great, the weather was great, the kids got along really well. We all slept good and made it home safe. We are wanting to go again! Thanks Becky and Bryce for going with us!

Brandon and Annie hiking around the rocks, I think this is where we all went home with heads full of nat bites. They were awfull. But there were no mosquitos

I love this picture, this was the first stop and they still had all their energy! They are such good friends.

Delicate Arch, they did it.

Double Arch, this is one of our favorites.

Taking Annies shoes off to play in the sand. She loved filling her toes with sand, she would separate her toes to fill them with sand.

She was just mesmerized by the sand, it really was we all didnt want to leave

Brandon and Bryce Climing around.

They all made it to Delicate Arch. They were all troppers, and still talk about it today. They were the few children that made the hike, except for those that were being carried in backpacks. When we are in the car, they will see a lisence plate and point out that they hiked to "That Rock". Fun times I hope they remember forever.

Kelsie's 1st Grade Program

I cant believe that the school year is almost over, it has flown by. Kelsie and her first grade class, along with all the other classes put on a Program for the parents showing all the songs they have learned. It was darling, and so fun to watch. My camera doesnt work too well in the gym lighting, so a few of these are from a friend that took some of Kelsie. They sang alot of songs, and had a few parts. Kelsie came home one day saying how she was upset that they didnt give her a speaking part. I just told her that she will have other opportunities to have a chance. I am glad that she looks forward to being in front of people and isnt afraid. That is one thing she didnt get from me. But their songs were way cute. My favorites were Felix the Fox, and the finale where they all had paper plates and clapped them together to a song. It sounded great they did a great job. I cant believe she is going to Second grade. She is sure ready and excited.

Kelsie and a few of her good friends from school. Kat, Jacie, and Kelsie

Kelsie and her teacher. She has loved her teacher.

Waiting for the program to start.

Where have we been?

I know it has been two months since I have posted. I keep meaning to it just isnt somthing I have felt like doing.
We have had a rough last 3 weeks. We have had the flu in our house that has hit everyone. It started with Kelsie, then Jillian, then Brandon. I thought we were good and Annie and I were going to bypass it. Nope, I got it the worst. I cant believe how it wiped all of us out. Mine turned into a Sinus Infection that is the worst sickness I have ever had in my life. When I started getting sick is when the Swine Flu was announced, but we didnt think we had that. And none of us were tested for it by our doctors. Obviously it isnt that bad. Anyways that is where we have been.
We are excited for this summer, we have alot of activities coming up. We are planning a trip to Moab with some friends. Going to San Diego with my honey for our 10 year Anniversary. Going camping for a family reunion with my dads side of the family. YW camp, and youth confrence, a few camping trips with extended family. It should be a fun summer. We just hope we can all stay healthy.

Hopefully I can keep up on the posting.

Day out

A couple weeks ago one Sunday we decided to get out of the house, it was Stake Confrence so we had the whole afternoon to do somthing. We decided to go check out the new Lake at the Daybreak community, and take a walk. Kelsie hadnt been feeling good, but we really didnt know how bad she was. Anyways it was a nice leisurly walk, it really made us think about moving out there. It is so convienent, and there were so many people doing the same thing.

Kelsie was tired of walking so she sat on the bench and waited for us to play on one of the docks.

Brandon and Jillian looking down at the water.

Annie enjoyed the walk, she scared me on how close she was getting to the water.

Mean mom made them sit together to get a picture. It didnt work out, Kelsie was just not in the mood.

I know Easter was over a month ago, but I had to get these pictures on here. Better late than never. We had a great Easter, the kids loved spending time with their cousins and grandparents. They were able to have a easter egg hunt at both grandparents house.

The girls in their Easter Dresses. Can you believe it they are all three smiling. They wore curlers to bed and woke up with extra curly hair.

After finding their baskets and all the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid.

Coloring the eggs the night before. Kelsie-

Jillian-

Annie- it was her first time and she dug right in.

Grandma and Grandpa helping the girls find their prizes.

The girls with their cousins on my side of the family. Devin and Gavin, they were told they all had to smile before they went to find their candy. It amazingly worked.

These pictures are out of order, but this is at Elzinga side of the family egg hunt, this is of the kids going through their eggs. Grandpa likes to put money in the eggs. So the kids go through them pretty fast to see how much they got.

Kelsie helping out Annie with her eggs.

Jillian and spencer really getting into it.
