Fun Halloween Activities

We love Halloween time and all the fun activities. We were able to go to the Corn maze for Family Night with some great friends the Mortensens. It was fun and crazy to follow the kids around the Corn Maze. We did find our way out, and then went and got some icecream. Thanks for coming with us it was a great night.

Then last Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out our pumpkins to Carve.

Love the Beach

We finally made it to the beach. Our plans was to go when we were in Anehiem, but we ended up staying at the parks till closing. So we didnt get time. But we stayed in Carlsbad, which we loved. And we found this little beach that was fun. It had what we wanted sand, water and not crowded. But of course it wasnt crowded because it was only 40's maybe 50's with the wind. And it was close to sunset. So not the perfect swimming weather. I had to laugh because we hadnt had a chance to swim, mainly because our pools water was ice cold. So Jillian was way excited to go swimming. So we get out of the car and I put on a jacket. We walk towards the beach and as she is walking she is throwing clothes off down to her swimming suit, like in a movie. It was funny, so she gets to the water and freezes. She said it was too cold, that was the end of that. She ended up just playing in the sand and getting sand everywhere because she didnt put her clothes back on. I put Annies feet in the water, which she cried for the rest of the time we were there. And Kelsie she walked in the water a bit. But since she knows what High and Low tides are she was panicing that our stuff was going to get washed away. So she didnt have much time, and also got cold. So Brandon and I enjoyed walking in the water, then Brandon decided since the last time he has been in the Ocean was when he was 12 that he was going to get it. It actually was warmer in the water than standing out of it. I would have gone in, but didnt for two reasons. I couldnt leave my kids on the beach with strangers, and I am terrified of deep water. If I did go in I would have gone up and played in the waves, but not gone face in swimming. Anywho, that was the beach experience. We did get to see the sunset, which was cool and very fast. The girls liked that.
For our next vacation I would like to go somewhere with alot of time just for relaxing on the beach. I guess that will have to be for our 10 year Anniversary in June. :)

The beautifull sunset.

Brandon swimming in the Ocean by himself. He got pretty tired, I was worried because I dont know if I could have saved him.

Seaworld

I love Seaworld, of course it is not as exciting after coming from Disneyland. But I still enjoyed it and I think the girls enjoyed looking at all the neat stuff. Here are a few pictures of our trip to Seaworld.

Brandon was looking forward to the Stingrays, he likes to pet them. The girls werent too sure, they were worried about getting stung. Which you cant with these ones.

Picking up the Starfish

Kelsie did touch one, but had to pull her hand out to take a picture cause it is ice cold water.

Watching the MAnatee turning in circles around the tank.

In the ice cave in the Artic, they didnt like the polar bear noises.

Shamu, the whale show was their favorite. They wanted to watch it again but it was only two times a day. So we didnt have time.

I got to pet a dolfin, first time ever. Usually you are pushing your way up. KElsie tried but they never came back over to us. And feeding time was over so we couldnt go buy more fish.

Petting the searays.

Finally!!!

I know, I know we have been back for over two weeks now and I am just getting pictures of our fun vacation on here. There are more, and it might take me a few days because somthing is wrong with my computer and it is being really slow.

So I thought I would start off with Disneyland pictures. Sorry so many and the slideshow is so slow. But I couldnt pick and choose. Just so you know if you want to see all of them there are 34 pictures.

The first day of Disneyland we just took it slow. The girls have never been to an amusement park so they werent so sure on the rides. Kelsie and I went on the rockets in Tomorrowland, and she did like those, but we couldnt get Jillian to ride it. So we thought we will go to Fantasyland that is where all the baby rides are. Well we went on Pinochios adventure. They didnt like it, they thought it was scary. I thought great they arent going to want to go on anything. It was a bit frusterating, and my parents werent there yet, so we couldnt trade off and ride rides we wanted. But we went on teacups, dumbo, carosel, autotopia, buzz , Haunted Mansion ( which scared them) and Pirates of the Carribean (which they didnt like at all and never got them back on it again) We did get to see the parade that night.

Second day we went to California Aventureland, that was fun, the girls loved bugs life land. Untill Kelsie was stung by a bee on the Lady Bug ride. So we had to go find First Aid to make sure we got it out. We rode the Peach swings, the silver bullett, the jumping Jellyfish and I think that was about it. It was a little crazy. Everyone told us that it was the best time to go, the lines will be short. Nope it was crazy busy, and crazy hot. It was in the 90's and lines were 20-40 minutes long.

Third day my parents came, we went to Disneyland and were able to ride bigger rides. And actually talked Kelsie in going on bigger rides, it made it a lot better.
Fourth day we went back to California aventureland and first thing my dad and I went to Tower of Terror. It was awesome, I loved it. And I wanted Brandon to ride it and everytime we went back it was 40-45 minute wait. He never got to ride it. But we loved California Screamin, we rode the Grizzly rapids ride and I got soaking, I mean soaking wet. And repeated a few rides.

All in all I think it was fun, but I agree with Brandon next time we go we need to go when all our kids are old enough to walk and dont have to push a stroller.

More pictures to come with Seaworld and the Beach.
