So I am sure you have all heard about the yucky bug that was going around. The yucky stomach flu. Well we all got it the day after we got back from Swiss days over Labor Day weekend. Kelsie started out with it, we just thought it was somthing she ate. Well then Brandon got it that Friday, he had it sooo bad that he didnt go to the Utes first home football game. And if you know Brandon that has got to be pretty bad. Well I prayed that I wouldnt get it. Well I got it Saturday night, when I was supposed to go out to dinner with my mom and the girls. But found out that my mom, dad, both of my brothers, and sister n law all had the same thing. So we thought hmm, we were all together at the condo the weekend before so we must have got it from eachother, who knows. Anyways so that Sunday we had planned on giving Kelsie a birthday party with all of the cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. But at about 5:00pm Sunday,(we hadnt gone to church) we decided we didnt want to make everyone else that hadnt had it misserable so we left it up to those that wanted to chance it, to come over for rootbeer floats and cup cakes. Well the only ones that came were my family since they were all infected anyways. It was not fun. But Kelsie was happy that someone came over for her party.
Well since the other side of the family didnt come, we had another party on Tuesday night and they all came over. We also the that Saturday went bowling with friends of ours, because that is what Kelsie wanted to do for her birthday. So we said she could invite a few friends. But since it was late notice she only got one that was able to come. So we invited her family to come along too. It was a lot of fun, except for Brandon had to leave early to go to a Utah football game. Thanks Mortensons for coming, Kelsie loves to hang out with Haley. Since we were all feeling better. But it was a long yucky week and half. But here are some pictures of one of Kelsies parties.
This was her favorite gift, she loves the Littlest Pet Shop pets, she wanted a house for them all. She has been carrying it everywhere. She really treats them like they are her pets. She has 11 of them.
Her cupcake, we asked her what she wanted for her birthday desert, and she said Rootbeer floats and cupcakes. So that is what she got. Change was nice. I just cant believe that we have a 6 year old. Soon she is going to be baptized. Like Brandon said the other day, if you ask how old our kids are he says 6, 3, 6. He thought it was cool.

You have a six year old! that is crazy. I am glad she had a good birthday and got lots of fun gifts!!

Glad you ended up having a fun celebration! Sorry you were all so sick, I had no idea! Rylee did tell me that Kelsie told her she was sick, but it was a secret. I just laughed and figured it was something minor!

Sorry to hear how sick you guys were- it's the worst when it get's everyone!
Bode and I both had it too although sadly Bode got it much worse then me. He would throw up ever couple of days, had continual diahrea and then got a cold and an ear infection all at once. It lasted about 10 days for him 2 for me. Thank goodness for antibiotics. Sorry to hear you guys got it bad too.
